Job summary

JN Bentley Ltd is seeking a Lead Hand / Ganger to lead a groundworks gang in the Leigh area and across the wider region. The role focuses on civils and groundworks on water-industry sites, with a proactive stance on health and safety and quality.

You will report to Site Management and drive productivity while upholding safety standards. The ideal candidate has proven gang-management experience, a readiness to join an existing skilled team, and full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a civils groundworks gang on-site.
• Current UK driving licence is essential.
• CSCS and relevant plant tickets (CPCS/NOCN/NPORS) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a groundworks gang across sites, predominantly civils and water-industry projects.
• Maintain high standards of productivity, quality and health & safety.
• Work under Site Management to ensure timely, safe project delivery.
