Job summary

MUA Group is seeking a field-based Murphy Wastewater Site Inspector/ Engineer to inspect wastewater assets, ensure adoption standards, and report defects. The role involves travel to various construction sites across the UK and close collaboration with developers and contractors.

You will plan and manage inspection programmes, witness tests, and maintain accurate site records. A full UK driving licence is required, with a focus on delivering high-quality wastewater infrastructure in line with

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of all wastewater assets and the design and installation process is essential.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, developers and contractors.
• Capable of reading and interpreting “as-laid” drawings accurately.
• Experience in drainage infrastructure construction and adoption processes.
• Knowledge on wastewater pump stations would be an advantage but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections at key stages and report defects.
• Oversee remediation work to ensure compliance and quality delivery.
• Plan and independently manage your own site inspection programme.
• Witness air and pressure tests of sewer networks and pipes.
• Maintain site records electronically for inspections and actions.
• Attend pre-construction site meetings with developers and contractors.
