Job summary

mua Group is seeking a Wastewater Site Inspector to join our Operations team. You will inspect wastewater networks, ensure compliance with approved designs, and coordinate with developers and contractors across projects in the Midlands and south of England. The role combines home-based work with regular on-site visits.

You’ll monitor construction stages, report defects, and support remediation efforts while maintaining detailed site records and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in drainage infrastructure construction and adoption processes.
• Knowledge of SEF and DCG standards is desirable.
• Ability to inspect gravity sewers, rising mains, manholes and pumping stations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure wastewater networks are constructed per approved drawings and DCG requirements.
• Attend pre-construction site meetings with developers and site agents.
• Plan and manage your own site inspection programme across multiple sites.
• Assist developers on engineering solutions during construction.
• Witness air and pressure tests and ensure compliance with DCG requirements.
• Maintain electronic site records for all inspections and participate in out-of-hours standby.
