Job summary

Hydro International is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Manningtree operations. The role focuses on installing, commissioning and testing water filtration systems at sewage sites across the UK, with travel to sites and occasional workshop work.

Ideal candidates will hold City & Guilds, have a mechanical apprenticeship and a valid driving licence. Onsite work, risk management and teamwork are core aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• Current valid driving licence.
• City & Guilds Qualified.
• Served a recognised mechanical apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.
• Carry out site inspections and fault finding and compile survey reports for quotation purposes.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outside on sites connected with wastewater.
• Work away from home on a regular basis, requiring overnight stays.
• Work in some of our workshops across the country on occasion.
• Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.
