Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking an engineer/technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant. You will read drawings, ensure safety and IMS compliance, and support large capital projects across our assets.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 3 mechanical/dual skilled apprenticeship, a full driving licence, and solid IT skills. The role offers development opportunities, a strong safety culture, and a commitment to environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in mechanical or dual skilled engineering is required.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• IT literacy with MS Office proficiency.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and ensuring tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance on equipment to minimize plant breakdowns.
• Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs quickly and efficiently.
• Carry out like-for-like installations, refurbishment and assist with commissioning.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure correct tolerances and fits.
• Maintain IMS records and comply with H&S procedures.
• Use mobile device to record work details and time.
• Liaise within Alliance Partnership to implement large capital schemes.
