Job summary

Southern Water is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the Wastewater Treatment Team in Kent. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance on wastewater plant, install new equipment, and respond to alarms while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will work with contractors, update records, and may be required to provide standby cover. Essential: Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification and a full UK driving licence; strong problem-solving and pressure-management skills.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification with certificates.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Install new plant and equipment as required.
• Respond to alarms and fault-find issues, fixing or escalating as needed.
• Carry out inspection and testing on electrical equipment following company procedures.
• Provide technical expertise to internal and external contractors.
• Update company systems and databases accurately and promptly.
• Participate in standby cover
