Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting a Mechanical Project Engineer to join the Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme, based in Thames Valley and covering Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire sites. The role supports design and build services for existing and new infrastructure, working with an Electrical Project Engineer to meet KPIs.

You will manage safety, quality and project delivery, liaise with the workforce and supply chain, and help drive continuous improvement across AMP7/AMP8 frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Water Industry.
• Full driving licence is required.
• CSCS card and SSSTS qualifications are desirable.
• Confined Spaces qualification is preferred.
• Engineering qualification (BEng/ONC/HNC/BTEC) in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the workforce on health, safety and wellbeing; promote a positive culture.
• Supervise work to ensure compliance with method statements and work instructions.
• Support the site management team; escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure works meet specifications.
• Promote Right First-Time culture and capture lessons learnt.
