Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead multidisciplinary wastewater projects across the UK, from feasibility to detailed design. You will develop mechanical solutions, review site infrastructure, produce specifications, calculations, drawings and design risk assessments while guiding junior engineers.

You will deliver high‑quality outcomes on AMP8/AMP9 programmes, collaborate with clients and project teams, and mentor others while ensuring delivery to time, cost

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, ideally IMechE accredited.
• Chartered or working towards chartership.
• Significant water industry experience and understanding of mechanical systems, P&IDs, specifications, procurement and CDM regulations.

Responsabilités

• Lead multidisciplinary wastewater projects from feasibility through detailed design.
• Develop mechanical solutions and review existing site infrastructure.
• Produce technical outputs: specifications, calculations, drawings, reports and risk assessments.
• Support delivery across major frameworks and mentor junior engineers.
