Job summary

Biffa Group in Ipswich is seeking a Transfer Station Manager to lead the site, ensure H&S compliance and deliver first-class customer service in line with KPIs and profitability goals.

You will manage and develop the team, drive continuous improvement, monitor budgets, and work with cross-divisional teams to provide integrated waste solutions.

Demonstrable leadership in a unionised environment and a background in operations or logistics will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Operations Manager or similar in Services or Logistics.
• People and health & safety management in a unionised environment.
• COTC and Health & Safety qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing site adherence to health and safety, security, employee relations and legislation.
• Ensuring service delivery meets defined KPIs while driving cost control and productivity.
• Supervising, coaching and training the team to provide high levels of customer service.
• Promoting open communications across departments and reviewing processes.
