Job summary

Biffa Group is recruiting an experienced Transfer Station Manager for the Irlam site to lead a safe, compliant operation and deliver reliable waste services. You’ll own the day-to-day performance, steer your team, and drive improvements in productivity, service and profitability while managing the site P&L and aligning with regional management.

This role demands strong leadership, solid transport and logistics knowledge, and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach to balance multiple priorities

Qualifications

• COTC qualification and IOSH certificate required.
• Experience delivering against operational KPIs and driving improvements.
• Experience leading teams in a site-based环境 with health & safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day performance of the transfer station.
• Develop and coach the site team to achieve safety, service and productivity targets.
• Own the site P&L and manage budgets with regional management support.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth for the Irlam facility.
