Buckinghamshire Council seeks a Waste Services Technical Coordinator to lead technical and transformation projects for Waste Collection and Street Cleansing. You will manage Bartec and related systems, ensuring data accuracy and driving performance improvements.

The role requires strong analytical capability and experience with reporting tools like Power BI and GIS to support strategic decisions and service delivery improvements.

Formación

• Degree in environmental discipline or a relevant waste/recycling qualification.
• Experience with waste management systems and data reporting.
• Strong understanding of waste legislation and policy changes.
• Proficient in Power BI, Excel and GIS for performance insights.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and deliver technical and service improvement projects from inception through to successful implementation.
• Manage and develop the Waste Management System (Bartec), ensuring data accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Lead procurement and management of waste systems and optimisation software.
• Develop high-quality performance reporting, dashboards and KPI frameworks to drive service improvement.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Support and develop systems knowledge and reporting across the Waste Services team.
• Coordinate and train frontline staff on mobile technology and software deployments.
• Provide expert advice on waste legislation, policy changes and regulatory developments.
• Produce business cases and recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate complex technical information into practical solutions.
