Job summary

Leicestershire County Council seeks a Waste Site Supervisor to join our team. You will supervise operational staff and daily site operations at Bardon HWRS, Coalville RHWS or Shepshed RHWS, with travel to other sites as needed.

You should be computer-literate and familiar with MS Office, and may have opportunities to become a qualified HGV driver with CPC. You will work with a friendly team, balancing indoor and outdoor work, and contribute to accessible and inclusive service delivery for all

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent level 3 qualification.
• WAMITAB CoTC Level 4 or above (or willing to work towards).
• First Aid at Work - Level 3 or equivalent (or willing to work towards).
• Experience in staff training and development, customer-facing roles and MS Office.
• Knowledge of waste disposal/treatment legislation and Health & Safety on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operational staff and daily operations at waste sites and transfer stations.
• Maintain equipment and resources to agreed levels and ensure environmental compliance.
• Support line manager in delivering high-quality recycling and household waste site services.
