Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting for a Waste Operations role based at Bardon sites in Leicestershire. You will supervise staff, support daily waste-site operations and ensure equipment is maintained to ensure service quality.

Flexibility is welcomed with potential hybrid arrangements; opportunities exist to advance CPC training for HGV driving. English fluency and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) required.
• WAMITAB CoTC Level 4 or higher and Level 3 First Aid at Work or equivalent.
• Loading Shovel / Telehandler tickets and Forklift licence desirable or willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operational staff at waste sites and daily operations.
• Maintain equipment and resources to agreed levels.
• Support delivery of high-quality Recycling and Household Waste Site and Waste Transfer Station service.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
