Job summary

Civic Recruitment and Limited is recruiting a Waste Services Improvement and Operational Resilience Consultant in Rugby for a 6-12 month contract with a local authority. The postholder will lead improvement programmes, review practices and ensure governance and resilience.

You will collaborate with the management team to drive service improvements, embed sustainable ways of working, and ensure compliance with legislative standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working within Waste Services or a similar frontline operational environment.
• Proven track record of delivering operational improvement and organisational change programmes.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Waste Services Transformation Programme.
• Review existing operational practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implement service improvements that enhance efficiency, performance, governance, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and deliver Service Improvement Action Plans.
• Support the implementation of legislative, organisational, and service changes.
• Provide temporary operational management support during periods of sickness absence, annual leave, or exceptional operational pressure.
• Ensure continuity of service delivery and operational resilience.
• Assist in the mobilisation of new services and operational projects.
• Support managers in resolving operational challenges and service issues.
