Mansfield District Council is seeking a Waste Services Assistant Manager to join the Neighbourhood Services team in Mansfield. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary of £46,579 - £50,908 per year and is based at Hermitage Lane Depot.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing operational resources.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Experience of risk assessments.
• A leadership and management qualification or equivalent significant experience.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support effective management of Waste and Recycling services.
• Provide leadership to supervisors, team leaders and operatives.
• Use management information to monitor performance.
• Oversee budgets and support commercial waste activity.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented and reviewed.
• Respond to service issues, complaints and out-of-hours operational needs where required.
• Participate in an on-call rota.
