Job summary

Mansfield District Council is seeking a Public Space Assistant Manager in Mansfield. This full-time, permanent role leads Street Cleansing, Town Centre and Parks services, delivering safe, efficient operations and continuous improvement.

You will supervise supervisors, team leaders and operatives, ensuring responsive service and effective resource use. Applicants should have background in operational resources and team leadership, with knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessments

Qualifications

Experience of managing operational resources and leading teams.
Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate clearly.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk assessments.
Full driving licence and good IT skills.
Background in Street Cleansing, Parks or Town Centre operations is advantageous.
Relevant leadership/management or coaching qualification, or equivalent significant experience.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day service delivery and monitor performance.
Use data and customer feedback to identify improvements.
Oversee budgets and support plans and projects.
Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented and reviewed.
Support corporate events and may supervise out-of-hours operations and emergencies.
