Job summary

• Significant experience in waste management and operational leadership.
• Experience managing budgets and a large workforce.
• Knowledge of waste legislation and health and safety requirements.
• Experience delivering public sector services is desirable.
• Experience with procurement and contractor management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead waste and fleet services, setting standards and driving performance.
• Manage multi-million-pound budgets and procurement activity.
• Develop the workforce and drive continuous improvement across services.
• Provide technical advice on waste, recycling and fleet operations.
• Represent the Council at meetings and forums and communicate with stakeholders.
