Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a friendly Reception & Café Assistant to be the first point of contact for customers at our front-of-house. You will manage reception duties and deliver quality café service in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes handling bookings, memberships and payments, with training provided. Join a values-driven charity leisure trust that supports staff development and a healthy, inclusive workplace across 130 centres.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role in leisure, fitness or community service settings.
• Hospitality or retail experience delivering customer excellence.
• Barista experience is desirable but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors with a friendly and professional manner at reception.
• Handle enquiries, bookings and memberships face-to-face, online and by phone; operate booking, till and membership systems.
• Provide café service: Prepare and serve drinks, snacks, maintain hygiene and stock; support events and centre operations.
