Job summary

Novus, the LTE Group prison education provider, is seeking a Warehousing Teacher to deliver a Warehousing qualification with direct links to employment opportunities on ROTL and after release. The role is a permanent, full-time position, working 37 hours per week, based at HMP Hatfield.

You will deliver engaging lessons, support learners to reach their full potential, and contribute to a welcoming, dynamic learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have teaching qualification and relevant subject qualification, with commitment to obtain outstanding qualification within 12 months.
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification is required.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLs or plan to work towards within a set timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Warehousing teaching to learners in a prison education setting.
  • Create engaging, vibrant learning environments conducive to learning.
  • Meet quality targets and produce accurate, timely reports.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and motivate learners.

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP&YOI Hatfield, working as a Warehousing Teacher. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

HMP Hatfield Prison is a Category D men’s prison located in South Yorkshire.It is known for its focus on rehabilitation and reintegration, HMP Hatfield Prison offers a range of facilities and programmes designed to support inmates in their transition back to society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards within a specified timeframe
  • Have experience in creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners
  • Have previous track record showing achievement of quality targets
  • Have successfully produced accurate and timely reports
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Can motivate and enthuse learners
  • Have organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets
  • Demonstrate positive team working
