Job summary

Reed in Glasgow, Scotland is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse and transport operations. The role focuses on stock control, on-time deliveries, fleet compliance, and day-to-day team leadership.

You will drive improvements in efficiency, lead driving teams, and ensure health & safety compliance while delivering strong KPI results and supporting staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience as Warehouse Manager, Transport Manager, or similar role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and transport compliance.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse and transport operations.
• Lead and motivate warehouse and driving teams.
• Ensure stock accuracy through inventory control and regular stock checks.
• Plan and coordinate vehicle schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Monitor transport costs and identify efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, fleet, and transport regulations.
• Manage goods-in and goods-out processes.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and third-party carriers.
• Produce KPI reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
