Job summary

Barker Ross Group is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader for a fast-paced operation in Bradford (BD6). The role involves leading a team across goods-in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch, driving performance, and ensuring safety and stock accuracy.

You will organise workloads, coach staff, and act as deputy to the Warehouse Manager when required. The position offers a Monday–Friday pattern with early start options and a competitive hourly rate of £14.61.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor, or senior operative role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and dispatch processes.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Commitment to health and safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse operatives across all areas.
• Allocate daily workloads to meet productivity targets.
• Maintain stock integrity through receipt, storage, picking and dispatch.
• Manage staffing levels, including agency workers and holidays.
• Monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Deliver team briefings, training and coaching.
• Maintain health and safety standards throughout the warehouse.
• Deposite for the Warehouse Manager when needed.
• Promote a positive, customer-focused environment.
