Job summary

Barker Ross is seeking a Warehouse Operative to carry out day-to-day warehousing activities, including goods receipt, storage, picking and dispatch. You will ensure stock is recorded, items checked for accuracy, and shipments processed to schedule while maintaining high safety standards.

The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work at a fast pace. Forklift experience is desirable and the shift is 13:30–22:00 with pay of £12.71 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Execute core warehouse operations including goods receipt, storage, picking, retrieval, loading and unloading.
• Check accuracy, quality and safety compliance during each process.
• Verify incoming/outgoing shipments and report issues promptly.
• Follow scanning and inventory procedures in the warehouse management system.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety across all areas of the warehouse.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying efficiency opportunities.
