Job summary

DHL in Milton Keynes is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to coordinate daily logistics operations. You will report on warehousing activities, monitor performance and help drive efficiency on your designated area.

You will lead by example, ensure safety standards, and support other Team Leaders as needed, using our in-house tracking software to trace orders and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment is essential.
• Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders.
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
• Ability to lead by example and lead a team to successfully meet KPI's

Responsibilities

• Directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
• Track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
• Promote, adhere to and monitor Health and Safety requirements on site, including manual handling health and safety requirements
• Support with absence cover for other Team Leaders within the operation

To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
