Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in the Manchester area to lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring timely receiving, picking, packing and shipping while upholding JD.com quality standards.

You will drive team performance, coach staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise layouts, inventory control and safety practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisory or team-leader role in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics setting.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, train and develop a high-performing team.
• Proficiency in WMS and MS Office.
• Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance and safety metrics.
• Address and resolve operational issues or challenges as they arise.

About The Team

Job Duty:

• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Plan, organize, and monitor daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
• Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and adherence to JD.com's quality standards.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
• Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and resolve discrepancies.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations.
• Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance, including productivity, accuracy, and safety metrics.
• Address and resolve any operational issues or challenges that may arise.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven experience (2+ years) in a supervisory or team leader role within a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
