Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Trafford Park is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to lead a busy operation and drive safety, quality and service targets. You will manage shift work, support colleagues on the shop floor and ensure stock accuracy and timely dispatch.

We’re looking for hands-on leaders with proven supervisory experience, strong literacy/numeracy and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office. Counterbalance FLT is essential; Reach Truck licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a warehouse environment with Team Leader or Supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong literacy and numeracy to complete reports, audits and paperwork.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office applications (Excel/Outlook).
• Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example on the shop floor.
• Counterbalance FLT licence is essential; Reach Truck licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support warehouse operations by delegating tasks and monitoring shift activity.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and promote a safe working environment.
• Be the first point of contact for queries and provide day-to-day guidance.
• Oversee stock accuracy and dispatch processes, including stock takes and discrepancies.
• Produce end-of-shift reports and cover First Line Manager responsibilities when needed.

Pay Rate: £35, 000.00
Grade: RCS O
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off ( 2 day shifts 7am - 7pm, followed by 2 night shifts 7pm - 7am)
Location: Trafford Park - M17 1TD

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to join our busy operation in Trafford Park. In this role, you'll lead and support a team to deliver operational excellence, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and service targets are achieved.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and support the warehouse operation by delegating tasks, allocating work through the WMS, and monitoring shift activity to ensure productivity and service targets are achieved
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and operational standards, carrying out regular audits and promoting a safe working environment for all colleagues
• Act as the first point of contact for colleague queries, providing day-to-day support, guidance and escalation where required
• Oversee stock accuracy and dispatch processes, including stock-taking activities, checking dispatch documentation, and investigating discrepancies
• Produce end-of-shift reports and provide operational support on the warehouse floor, stepping up to cover First Line Manager responsibilities when required

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Previous experience within a warehouse or supply chain environment, with proven Team Leader or Supervisory experience essential
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to accurately complete reports, audits, and operational documentation
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems and confidence working with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to work on the shop floor, supporting operational activities and leading by example
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence essential (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited), Reach Truck licence is desirable
