Job summary

Deutsche Post is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager in Skelmersdale to lead teams in a fast-moving operation. You'll oversee daily objectives, drive productivity, champion safety and develop people.

The role requires experience in supervising warehouse teams, familiarity with eCommerce fulfilment, and strong problem-solving abilities. A fast-paced environment and proactive decision-making are essential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Take ownership of your shift's warehouse activities, supporting operational leaders by overseeing performance, tracking progress and ensuring daily objectives are achieved
• Lead, coach and develop your team by setting clear priorities, providing regular feedback and driving high standards across the operation
• Promote and embed a Safety First mindset, ensuring all processes are followed correctly and colleagues can work in a safe and secure environment
• Monitor shift performance, identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance productivity, accuracy and service levels
• Contribute to ongoing operational improvement projects, helping to streamline processes and deliver greater efficiency across the site

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Have experience supervising or managing teams within a warehouse, logistics or other fast-moving operational environment
• Experience within an eCommerce or online fulfilment operation is highly desirable, with an understanding of fast-paced, customer-focused delivery environments
• Thrive in a fast-paced setting and are confident managing workloads where accuracy, speed and customer expectations are critical
• Are natural team leaders who can motivate others, build positive working relationships and create a collaborative culture
• Have strong problem-solving skills, take initiative and can make effective decisions in a busy operational environment
• Are comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and Warehouse Management Systems to support day-to-day operations and reporting
