Job summary

Fairfax Meadow, part of Sysco GB, is hiring a Warehouse Team Leader at our Derby site to keep the dispatch process running smoothly, safely and efficiently each day.

You will lead and motivate the team, organise workloads, solve problems and work with the warehouse supervisor and manager to develop skills and uphold high standards, with shifts 19:00–04:00, 5 from 7.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a warehouse or dispatch team.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work nights and adapt to shift patterns.
• Proactive problem solving and team motivation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the warehouse team to meet daily targets.
• Organise workloads and ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Collaborate with supervisor and manager on continuous improvement.
• Support training and development of team members.

Salary up to £31,476 per annum (dependent on experience) + night shift premium

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of our operation, keeping the warehouse running smoothly, safely and efficiently every day.

You’ll lead and motivate the team, organise workloads, solve problems and make sure we deliver against our targets. Working closely with the Warehouse supervisor & manager, you’ll play a key role in developing the team’s skills, building a positive working environment and driving high standards across the warehouse.

What you bring to the mix

Are you a natural organiser with a sharp eye for detail and a positive, can-do attitude? We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front and bring out the best in others.

A positive, self-motivated attitude and hands on approach.

Strong communications skills and confidence to communicate professionally at all levels.

Great problem-solving skills with the confidence to identify issues and act.

The ability to motivate and support your team, creating a positive and productive working environment.

Ideally, experience in a similar team leader role or within a warehouse environment would be an advantage.

Ability to motivate team members and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
