Job summary

Kingston Upon Thames in Chessington (KT9) is seeking a Team Leader to manage a team in a fast-paced environment. You will lead day-to-day operations, allocate tasks, monitor KPIs and provide coaching to develop individual and team performance.

The role requires previous leadership experience in warehouses/logistics, strong communication skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset. The position runs 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional peak-period overtime and weekend work as

Qualifications

• Previous Team Leader, Supervisor or similar leadership experience
• Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, retail or similar fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to motivate and develop a team
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• A positive and professional attitude
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• Good IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with warehouse management systems or stock management systems would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team on a day-to-day basis
• Allocate tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately
• Monitor team productivity and performance against KPIs
• Provide guidance, coaching and constructive feedback
• Conduct regular team 1:1s and support employee development
• Ensure agreed service levels and productivity targets are achieved
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or operational issues
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Ensure company procedures and standards are followed
• Maintain a positive, professional and inclusive working environment
• Lead by example and support the team during busy periods
