Job summary

Vickerstock are partnering with a leading Wholesale Distribution client to appoint a Warehouse Team Lead for their Newry facility. You will lead the operation, drive standards, safety, and continuous improvement while developing your team and ensuring customer-focused service.

You'll manage goods inwards, stock control, pick to zero, performance reviews, and HACCP compliant procedures in a fast-paced environment. This full-time role offers a competitive package and room for career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures is beneficial.
• Strong people management and planning skills.

• Goods inwards, put-away, replenishment, pick to zero and stock control.
• Performance management - training and development of team
• Food safety procedures - fresh goods handling - HACCP
• Forecasting and headcount planning

Vickerstock are working EXCLUSIVELY with our leading Wholesale Distribution Client - supplying business throughout the island of Ireland - on the appointment of a Warehouse Team Lead for their Newry based facility.

As the successful Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the operation, ensuring that standards and correct processes are adhered to.

• 39hr week: 5 days over Monday to Saturday (day off on rotation).

Your day to day:

• Goods inwards, put-away, Replenishment, Pick to Zero and Stock control operations.
• Performance management - training and development of team
• Food safety procedures - fresh goods handling - HACCP
• Determine forecasts, headcount planning
• Driving a strong H&S culture and behavioural mindset.
• Implementing warehouse safety programs specifically for cold storage.
• Hold team accountable for targets, actions, and results.
• Controlling and improve operational performance, service delivery, team management and development, legal compliance, cost, and quality.
• Identifying team talent, developing team members, and driving exceptional people performance.
• Ability to maintain and promote good recordkeeping and legislative practices
• Demonstrable passion and commitment to delivering outstanding service to customers and colleagues.
• Operational, warehousing and commercial experience, within a fast-moving environment.
• Experience of managing/leading teams in a fast paced environment, working under pressure
• Proven ability to develop and empower Team members to deliver results on the frontline.
• Excellent people management and communication skills
• Strong, visible, and active leadership presence
• Stock Control, PI counting, stock count total management and investigations.
• Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills
• Customer focused/led approach
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office packages
• Lean / Continuous Improvement tools / methodologies
• Counterbalance licence
