Job summary

GXO is recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at the SGN site in Newbridge, Edinburgh, supporting our new business win. You will lead a small team of three, overseeing two Stores Operatives, and collaborate with a Cluster Operative to support the wider network.

This is a full-time, permanent role, primarily Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, with a salary up to £35,000 per annum and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); knowledge of DLX advantageous.
• Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our SGN site in Newbridge, Edinburgh, supporting our new business win. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you'll lead a close-knit team of three, overseeing two Stores Operatives and working closely with a Cluster Operative who provides support across the wider network. You'll be responsible for delivering daily customer requirements, achieving contractual KPIs and SLAs, and creating a high-performing team through effective leadership, communication, and development.

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Understand the forecast and actual volumes each day while assisting planning of resources appropriately with close liaison with the Cluster Manager
• Ability to identify problems and take decisive actions to resolve them using in-house policy or operational procedures where required
• Take preventative steps including regular checks on processes to ensure stock is protected and the opportunity for theft or loss is reduced
• Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained in line with company guidelines while full supporting the team in the ‘road to Zero’

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in managing a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced environment is essential
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); prior working knowledge of DLX is advantageous
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
