Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor for our SGN site in Newbridge, Edinburgh. You will lead a small team of three, oversee two Stores Operatives and work with a Cluster Operative to deliver daily customer requirements and KPIs.

Predominantly Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, this full-time role offers a competitive benefits package including 25 days annual leave, pension, dental insurance, life assurance and access to MyBenefits discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); DLX knowledge advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Understand daily forecast vs actual volumes and plan resources with the Cluster Manager.
• Identify problems and take decisive actions using in-house policy or procedures.
• Perform regular checks to protect stock and reduce theft or loss.
• Ensure equipment is operational and maintained per guidelines while supporting the team.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our SGN site in Newbridge, Edinburgh, supporting our new business win. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you'll lead a close-knit team of three, overseeing two Stores Operatives and working closely with a Cluster Operative who provides support across the wider network. You'll be responsible for delivering daily customer requirements, achieving contractual KPIs and SLAs, and creating a high-performing team through effective leadership, communication, and development.

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Understand the forecast and actual volumes each day while assisting planning of resources appropriately with close liaison with the Cluster Manager
• Ability to identify problems and take decisive actions to resolve them using in-house policy or operational procedures where required
• Take preventative steps including regular checks on processes to ensure stock is protected and the opportunity for theft or loss is reduced
• Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained in line with company guidelines while full supporting the team in the ‘road to Zero’

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in managing a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced environment is essential
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); prior working knowledge of DLX is advantageous
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
