Job summary

Gumtree in Aylesbury is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse activities, drive high standards and mentor a motivated team. You’ll own operational performance, supervise goods in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch, and ensure stock accuracy using SAP.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisation and a hands-on approach to support day-to-day operations. This is an excellent step for an experienced supervisor aiming to advance within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP).
• Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills.
• Good organisational and workload planning abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Hands-on approach with ability to support operational activities when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support warehouse operatives to meet targets.
• Allocate workloads, monitor performance and lead daily briefings.
• Train, coach and guide warehouse staff.
• Support goods in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Ensure accurate stock receipt, recording and rotation within SAP.
• Maintain stock accuracy through checks and stock takes.
• Supervise order fulfilment, vehicle loading and timely dispatch.
• Resolve stock discrepancies, shortages and operational issues; maintain housekeeping, health, safety, and compliance standards.
• Deputise for the Warehouse Manager when required.
