Job summary

AIT Home Delivery UK Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our expanding warehouse team. This hands-on role manages a section of operations, supporting the management team and guiding a group of operatives to meet business targets.

You will oversee inbound deliveries, storage, order sorting, and dispatch planning, promoting teamwork, resolving issues with escalation when needed, and ensuring safe manual handling practices are followed.

Our warehouse team is looking for a new Warehouse Supervisor to join them.

We strive to deliver an outstanding service to our customers and your role as a Supervisor is key to this. It's a hands on role where you will be responsible for the operation of a section within the warehouse function. Supporting the management team, responsible for a group of operatives and ensuring an achievement of business targets.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which is able to fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets
• Take delivery of goods inbound, checking for damaged or missing items
• Store goods appropriately
• Sort orders for dispatch around Network
• Promote a culture of teamwork
• Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level
• Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
