Job summary

ACS Staffing Solutions is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor for a busy operation on the outskirts of York. You will lead warehouse activities, oversee goods in and out, inventory control and order fulfilment while driving safety and efficiency to meet service targets.

Working with the Warehouse Manager, you’ll coordinate workflow, mentor staff, monitor KPIs, and implement process improvements. A hands-on leader with strong IT skills and experience with ERP/WMS platforms is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or logistics supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership to manage teams in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems is advantageous (NetSuite/ServiceNow).
• Forklift certification is beneficial.

Warehouse Supervisor

York (Outskirts)

Hours - Monday to Friday

Salary - Circa £35k plus benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a fast-paced and growing technology-led organisation based near York. This role is ideal for someone with strong warehouse and logistics experience who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and driving operational performance within a busy environment.

Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations, supporting service delivery targets while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

The Role

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will support and lead warehouse operations across goods in, goods out, inventory control, storage, and order fulfilment activities. You will help co-ordinate workflow, allocate resources effectively, and ensure customer delivery expectations and operational KPIs are consistently achieved.

In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, you will take responsibility for the department, leading daily briefings, communicating priorities, and ensuring operational continuity.

Key responsibilities include:

About You

The successful candidate will have previous warehouse or logistics supervisory experience and a strong ability to lead teams within a fast-moving operational environment.

You will also have:

• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good IT literacy including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience working towards operational KPIs and service targets
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety and accuracy
• The ability to motivate and support warehouse teams effectively
• A proactive and hands‑on approach to problem solvingExperience with ERP or warehouse management systems such as NetSuite or ServiceNow would be advantageous but is not essential.

Forklift certification would also be beneficial, although training can be provided.

Due to the physical nature of the role, candidates should be comfortable with manual handling and lifting activities where required.
