Job summary

Burch Recruitment Ltd is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy team in Slough. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched efficiently, while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have leadership experience in a fast-paced warehouse, strong organisational skills, and knowledge of WMS/inventory systems. Forklift cert is a plus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of WMS and inventory systems; forklift cert is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of warehouse staff.
• Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock control.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Support the optimisation of warehouse layout and workflow.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Carry out regular checks and audits to improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on warehouse performance.
• Provide training, guidance and performance support to team members.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys leading a team, keeping operations running smoothly and working in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operation, supporting your team and ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched efficiently.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining productivity, accuracy, health and safety standards and overall warehouse performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of warehouse staff.
• Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock control.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Support the optimisation of warehouse layout and workflow.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not essential.
