Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a small team and own day-to-day operations at our facility in the UK. You will ensure accurate goods receipt, efficient picking, packing and dispatch, and maintain a high standard of safety and productivity.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication across departments, and experience with stock management systems. Monday to Friday schedule applies with normal warehouse hours.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Warehouse Operative.
  • Able to motivate and manage a small team in a hands‑on environment.
  • Competent in stock control, goods-in and dispatch processes.
  • Experienced with stock management systems and warehouse admin tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support a small warehouse team in a hands-on operational environment.
  • Oversee goods-in, stock control, order fulfilment and dispatch.
  • Support picking, packing and dispatch during busy periods and staff absences.
  • Maintain an efficient warehouse layout, accurate stock locations and FIFO processes.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and uphold quality, accuracy and productivity.
  • Train and develop team members in line with company procedures and Health and Safety standards.
  • Conduct and support risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage warehouse equipment, consumables and general site upkeep.
  • Collaborate with office teams to support customer service and courier operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and overall performance.
  • Proactively resolve day-to-day operational issues.

Job description

We are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a small warehouse team and take ownership of the day-to-day operation. This is a practical, hands-on position for someone who can motivate others while ensuring goods are received accurately and customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched efficiently and on time.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate and support a small warehouse team in a hands-on operational environment.
  • Oversee goods-in, stock control, order fulfilment and dispatch.
  • Support picking, packing and dispatch during busy periods, staff holidays and absence.
  • Maintain an efficient warehouse layout, accurate stock locations and FIFO processes.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and productivity.
  • Train and develop team members, ensuring company procedures and Health and Safety standards are followed.
  • Conduct and support relevant risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage warehouse equipment, consumables and general site upkeep.
  • Work closely with office-based teams to support excellent customer service and efficient courier and delivery operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency and overall operational performance.
  • Take a proactive approach to resolving day-to-day operational issues.
About you
  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Warehouse Operative.
  • Organised, practical and comfortable working in a physically active, hands-on environment.
  • A confident people manager who leads by example and is willing to get involved operationally.
  • Computer literate, with good experience of stock management systems and warehouse administration.
  • A strong communicator who can work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
  • Experience operating forklift trucks. Reach and Counterbalance experience is preferred, although training can be provided where required.
  • Proactive, dependable and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and efficiency.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the warehouse operation.
Working hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
