Job summary

Latham’s Limited in Leeds is seeking an Inbound Warehouse Supervisor to lead a motivated team, oversee stock handling, and ensure timely dispatch while maintaining high safety standards. You will drive efficiency and accuracy across receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch operations.

The role requires proven warehouse supervision experience, strong leadership, knowledge of WMS, and good IT skills. A forklift licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision within Logistics, Construction, or Distribution environments.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and stock control procedures.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to warehouse operations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Hold a valid forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is advantageous.
• Basic IT literacy including Microsoft Office applications.

• Take ownership of ensuring that all stock deliveries are checked, corrected, and added to our system.
• Supervise and lead warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all.
• Manage stock control processes to maintain accurate inventory levels and minimise loss or damage.
• Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery schedules.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain operational reports, including stock levels, productivity, and team performance.
• Train and develop warehouse staff, identifying skills gaps and supporting career progression.
• Work closely with other departments such as procurement and customer service to support business objectives.
