Job summary

OA Group is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to join its growing team in Letchworth Garden City. The role supports the Warehouse Manager, supervises a small team of four, and ensures timely order processing, stock checks and accuracy of records.

You will lead by example in safety, housekeeping and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift truck licence.
• Prior warehouse supervisory or team leader experience desirable.
• Good IT skills and ability to learn WMS quickly.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with a customer focus.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Flexible, proactive and hardworking with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day running of the warehouse, providing cover during annual leave and other absences.
• Lead, motivate and work alongside a team of four, ensuring workloads are completed efficiently and customer deadlines are met.
• Take a hands-on role in the receipt, inspection, storage, picking, packing, loading and dispatch of goods.
• Carry out regular stock checks, investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate stock records and product traceability.
• Complete warehouse paperwork and administration accurately and efficiently.
• Lead by example in maintaining high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, hygiene and PPE compliance.
• Ensure company procedures, quality standards and packaging requirements are followed.
• Identify, report and quarantine damaged or non-conforming goods where necessary.
• Work closely with other departments to support smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist with internal and external audits.

Warehouse Supervisor

OA are recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our client's highly successful and growing team.

Our client is a well-established supplier and manufacturer of corrugated cartons, bespoke boxes and a large variety of packaging.

Location: Letchworth Garden City

Hours: 8-hour day between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, dependent on workload with prior notice from your line manager (typical hours are Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00, Thursday 07:00-16:00)

Salary: £32,000-£37,000 - depending on experience

Warehouse Supervisor Skills and Experience

• Essential: Valid forklift truck licence.
• Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience is desirable.
• Good IT skills, with the ability to learn warehouse management systems quickly.
• Strong organiseragi n skills, attention to detail and confidence with paperwork and administration.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to use initiative, apply common sense and lead a team when required.
• Flexible, proactive and hardworking, with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and moving stock.
