Job summary

The Clever Fish Recruitment is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor in Huddersfield to lead a small team of three operatives. The role is hands-on, focused on day-to-day warehouse operations, stock control, and process improvements.

You will directly supervise activities, ensure safe working practices, and contribute to ongoing efficiency gains. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, with no weekend work or overtime.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Supervisor – Huddersfield

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Full-time | No weekend work or overtime

We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a well-established company in Huddersfield.

This is a hands‑on role, supervising a small team of 3 warehouse operatives whilst remaining actively involved in the day-to-day warehouse operations.

The company offers a friendly working environment and is looking for someone who can take ownership of the warehouse, help improve processes and develop within the role.

Key Duties:

• Supervising and supporting a team of 3 warehouse operatives
• Overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely
• Managing goods in, checking deliveries and booking stock onto the system
• Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
• Organising shipments and ensuring goods are dispatched accurately and on time
• Handling and overseeing the movement of Dangerous Goods in line with safety procedures
• Operating a forklift truck when required
• Maintaining accurate stock records and warehouse documentation
• Improving warehouse organisation, housekeeping and general working practices
• Supporting and training team members to maintain high standards

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience
• A hands‑on approach, happy to work alongside the team
• Valid FLT licence
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident using computerised warehouse or stock management systems
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be advantageous
• Dangerous Goods training would be an advantage, although training can be provided
• An in-date First Aid certificate would be desirable
• A proactive attitude with the ability to identify and implement improvements
• Someone keen to develop their skills and grow within the role
