Job summary

Reed in Erith is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy team and drive operations in a fast-paced environment. The role supervises up to 30 operatives, ensuring picking, packing and dispatch targets are met, while maintaining safety and performance standards.

You will report to the Warehouse Manager and optimise workflow using WMS, with a hands-on, coaching leadership style and flexibility for occasional shift adjustments.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a warehouse, picking and packing or distribution.
• Experience leading teams of 10+ employees.
• Strong people management and supervisory skills.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Hands-on, approachable leadership style.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Erith (DA8)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

The Opportunity

A well-established distribution and logistics operation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join its busy warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on supervisor to lead a team within a fast-paced environment, ensuring operational targets, productivity, and service levels are consistently achieved.

Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising up to 30 warehouse operatives, driving team performance, and maintaining high standards across warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse operatives.
• Ensure daily picking, packing, and dispatch targets are met.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy, and performance across the shift.
• Conduct staff briefings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
• Support employee engagement and maintain a positive working culture.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to manage workflow and performance.
• Work closely with management colleagues to ensure operational continuity and efficiency.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• At least 2 years' experience within a warehouse, picking and packing, or distribution environment.
• Previous experience leading teams of 10+ employees.
• Strong people management and supervisory skills.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Confidence managing performance issues and having difficult conversations when required.
• A hands‑on, approachable leadership style.
• Flexibility to support alternative shift patterns when operationally required.

Working Hours

The primary shift for this role is:

Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Candidates must be flexible, as occasional cover may be required across:

• 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 9:00am - 5:00pm
• 2:00pm - 10:00pm
