Job summary

Aspion Drivers is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for its Horsham site. You will lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety, quality and timely despatch while working with sales and operations to resolve issues.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach to improving processes. A full UK driving licence and relevant supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in a warehouse or industrial setting with supervisory duties.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety compliance and site operations.
  • Experience leading teams and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for day-to-day management and performance of the warehouse.
  • Ensure the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
  • Manage Health & Safety across the site with audits, risk assessments and safe practices.
  • Ensure staff are trained and competent in equipment use, with records kept.
  • Arrange servicing and maintenance of equipment, remove defective gear.
  • Maintain quality/compliance records and ensure corrective actions.
  • Support Quality Management Systems and ensure procedures are followed.
  • Monitor stock integrity, goods-in, picking, packing and despatch processes.
  • Meet customer requirements for quality, quantity and delivery.
  • Collaborate with sales to resolve issues and maintain service.
  • Lead toolbox talks, meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, quality and site performance.
  • Support transport operations including vehicle checks and driver compliance.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee general site management: contractors, security, fire safety, waste, facilities.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management and promote a safety-focused culture.

Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Horsham
Salary: £Negotiable DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday | 39.5 hours per week

Are you an experienced Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor looking for a varied role with autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact?

Do you have a background in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or an industrial environment, with a strong understanding of Health & Safety, compliance and site operations?

Would you enjoy a hands on role where you can work closely with both operational and sales teams, whilst having the opportunity to introduce improvements and develop processes?

Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the warehouse.
  • Ensure the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and monitor Health & Safety across the site, including regular site audits, risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • Ensure staff are appropriately trained and competent in the use of work equipment, with training records maintained.
  • Arrange servicing, inspections and maintenance of work equipment and ensure any defective equipment is removed from use.
  • Maintain and manage quality and compliance records, ensuring corrective actions are followed through.
  • Support the company's Quality Management Systems and ensure procedures are understood and followed.
  • Monitor stock integrity, goods-in processes, picking, packing and despatch procedures.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met in terms of quality, quantity and delivery.
  • Work closely with the sales team and wider business to resolve issues and maintain excellent customer service.
  • Lead toolbox talks, staff meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, safety, quality and overall site performance.
  • Support the management of transport operations, including vehicle checks, load security, driver compliance and documentation.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and employee development.
  • Take responsibility for general site management, including contractors, security, fire safety, waste management and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate reports and records and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative and safety-focused working environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management position; a Team Leader looking to step up into a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager role will be considered.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety, risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • FLT experience is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with good numerical and organisational skills.
  • Computer literate and comfortable maintaining records and producing reports.
  • Calm and confident under pressure, with a practical and proactive approach.
  • Excellent personable and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across warehouse, operations and sales teams.
  • A strong team player with a hardworking attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to use initiative and bring new ideas to improve the business.
  • Experience with quality systems, audits, equipment inspections, training records or general site compliance would be advantageous.
Package Details:
  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
