Job summary

Saab UK, part of Scandinavia's defence group, seeks a Stores Operative to support the underwater robotics division in Fareham. You will manage goods inwards, stock locations, and order picking in line with the MRP schedule, ensuring accuracy and safe storage.

In this role you will handle packing, labeling, and dispatch, maintain KPI data, and help keep the yard and COSHH areas clean and compliant. The position requires a hands-on, hardworking attitude with enthusiasm to learn and grow within

Qualifications

• Previous Warehouse or Stores experience desired.
• Previous experience of working at height is required due to nature of this role.
• Previous Experience with ERP Systems.
• Experience with forklifts desirable.
• Enthusiastic and hardworking.
• Willing to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Process goods inwards and receipts in line with the delivery schedule on MRP.
• Process all goods receipt documentation including scanning and resolve booking-in issues.
• Locate stock into correct locations from QC or Good Inwards with safe storage and stock rotation.
• Label, pack and ensure stock is identifiable and free from contamination or damage.
• Pick work orders and sales orders from picking lists with high accuracy.
• Perform general stores area tasks: loading/unloading, sorting, cleaning and stock movements.
• Follow manual handling guidelines and use lifting equipment where appropriate.
• Keep the yard organised, safe, and stock located by size; manage COSHH cabinet and oil store.
• Support waste collection processing according to business requirements.
• Respond to hatch enquiries urgently and process online stores requisitions accurately.
• Maintain daily KPI data and product/location updates.
• Maintain stores equipment and vehicles and report malfunctions.
• Ensure systems and sales orders are packed and labelled for courier collections.
• Order crates and packing materials to meet deadlines.
• Undertake other duties as required by Head of Unit.
