Howdens is seeking a Warehouse Person to support our depot operations. You will ensure stock is kept accurate, safe, and ready for collection or delivery, supporting trade customers with a professional service.

This hands-on role focuses on high standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with health and safety at the forefront and a strong emphasis on stock integrity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is desirable.
• Understanding of stock control and health and safety is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail when handling stock and records.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• Customer-focused with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Clear communication and strong organisational skills.
• Reliable, hands-on and safety-conscious in a busy warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Unloading deliveries and checking stock accurately in line with health and safety standards.
• Carrying out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensuring stock is secure and prepared for dispatch.
• Completing regular stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and efficient with stock rotation.
• Supporting trade customers with a professional and helpful service.
• Assisting with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Working closely with the depot team to keep operations running smoothly.
