Job summary

Howdens Joinery, the UK's leading trade kitchen supplier, seeks a Warehouse Person for our Hemel Hempstead depot. You will be in a hands-on role, ensuring stock is accurate, safe and ready for collection or delivery, while contributing to a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

You will help unload deliveries, perform forklift checks, maintain records, and support customers with a professional service. This is a full-time, 40-hour week with strong health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Stock control and health and safety awareness are essential.
• Forklift licence is desirable but not compulsory.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• Reliable, hands-on, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Unloading deliveries and checking stock in line with health and safety standards.
• Carrying out daily forklift checks and equipment inspections.
• Ensuring stock is secured and prepared for dispatch.
• Conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and efficient with effective stock rotation.
• Supporting trade customers with a professional, helpful service.
• Assisting with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Collaborating with the depot team to keep operations running smoothly.
