Job summary

Howdens Joinery Limited is hiring a Warehouse Person to help keep stock in order, safe and ready for collection or delivery. This hands-on role emphasises high standards in a fast-paced, team-focused environment where everyone pulls together to keep operations running smoothly with strong health and safety practices.

You will unload deliveries, check stock, perform forklift checks, maintain accurate records and support trade customers with a professional service.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence is desirable.
• Good understanding of stock control and health and safety.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail when handling stock and records.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• Customer focused with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Clear communication and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock in line with health and safety standards.
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensure stock is secure and accurately prepared for dispatch.
• Complete regular stock checks and maintain accurate records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and efficient through effective stock rotation.
• Support trade customers with a professional and helpful service.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Work closely with the wider depot team to keep the operation running smoothly.
