Job summary

Howdens Joinery Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Person to play a key role in depot operations. You'll keep stock organised, safe and ready for collection or delivery in a fast-paced, team-focused environment with strong health and safety standards.

You'll be involved in unloading deliveries, stock checks, and assisting with daily warehouse tasks to ensure smooth operation and excellent service for trade customers.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is desirable
• Good understanding of stock control and health and safety
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail, especially with stock and records
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills
• Customer focused with a friendly and professional attitude
• Clear communication and strong organisational skills
• Reliable, hands on and committed to a safe, tidy warehouse

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock in line with health and safety standards
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment
• Ensure stock is secure and prepared for dispatch
• Complete regular stock checks and maintain accurate records
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and efficient through stock rotation
• Support trade customers with professional service
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations
• Work closely with depot team to keep operations running smoothly
