Job summary

Howdens Joinery UK is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Person at our Swadlincote depot. You’ll help keep stock accurate, support trade customers and work to high health and safety standards in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

You’ll unload deliveries, check stock, carry out forklift checks and ensure orders are prepared for dispatch. The role offers a competitive salary, great benefits and a strong team culture with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong stock handling and record-keeping required.
• Commitment to health and safety standards in a busy warehouse.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Unloading deliveries and checking stock in line with health and safety standards.
• Carrying out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensuring stock is secure and accurately prepared for dispatch; completing stock checks.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organized and efficient through stock rotation.
• Supporting trade customers with a professional and helpful service.
• Assisting with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Working closely with the wider depot team to keep operations running smoothly.
