Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Person to support our depot operations. You will unload deliveries, check stock, rotate stock and prepare items for dispatch while maintaining high health and safety standards.

You will work in a busy, team-focused environment with a strong emphasis on accuracy, customer service and reliability. A forklift licence is desirable and benefits include a 40‑hour week, generous leave, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is desirable
• Good understanding of stock control and health and safety

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock in line with health and safety standards
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment
• Ensure stock is secured and prepared for dispatch; maintain accurate records
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and efficient with stock rotation
• Support trade customers with professional service
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations
• Work closely with the depot team to keep operations running smoothly
