Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Warehouse Sorter in Hatfield (AL10 9SL) for a part-time, permanent role. You’ll unload/load parcels, sort by delivery route, and help prepare trailers for drivers while delivering a reliable, friendly service.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (Cat B) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points.

• After 6 months: £27,561 per year, £13.94 per hour
• Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)

  • Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
  • Night Duty Allowance (+£2.74 per hour, applicable on hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00)

• Unloading / Loading parcels
• Sorting parcels to correct delivery route / preparing trailer ready for the drivers / onward transport
• Providing a friendly, dependable service - whether it's a birthday gift or important business mail

What we're looking for

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Someone with good attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who's friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
