Job summary

Start People Ltd. in Doncaster is recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to oversee a permanent night shift on a fast-paced site. The role focuses on leading a team, driving key KPIs, and maintaining top Health & Safety standards to meet customer expectations.

The successful candidate will coach and develop warehouse staff, manage performance and attendance, and partner with senior management on continuous improvement initiatives and service level delivery.

• Proven experience as Warehouse Shift Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing teams on a permanent night shift pattern is essential.

Start People are recruiting on behalf of a leading and rapidly growing logistics and distribution business based in Doncaster for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join their night operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and people-focused leader who has a proven track record of managing warehouse teams on a permanent night shift pattern. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational performance, maintaining high standards of health & safety, and ensuring customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

The Role

• Lead and manage a team within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Shift Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing teams on a permanent night shift pattern is essential.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Proven longevity and stability within previous employment.
• Ability to lead from the front and operate within a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, Health & Safety, and operational best practice.
